This class is the First of a "Three Part Series on Dealing with Diabetes Burnout." In this class, we will discuss the causes of Diabetes Burnout. We will address the personal, interpersonal and environmental triggers that cause Burnout. After completing this short series of classes, you will be able to recognize what causes burnout and how to defend yourself. For those already living in Diabetes Burnout, we will look at the ways to get out of it and get your diabetes management and your life back on track. Stop Diabetes Burnout in its tracks or kick it to the curb. Either way, after this class, you'll be ready.

In this 30 min session, Dr. Philipson, Director of the Kovler Diabetes Center, at U of Chicago Medicine, will talk about the different types of diabetes and what are the implications of genetics on diabetes. Additionally, why this is important to people who have diabetes. Dr. Philipson will present then take live questions from the audience.
